Prosthetic Eyes

A prosthetic eye is an artificial eye that helps to improve the quality of the facial appearance of people who have lost an eye due to injury or disease. It is commonly known as a “fake eye” or “artificial eye”. A prosthetic eye cannot restore vision. After removal of the natural eye and placement of a prosthetic eye, a person will have no vision in that eye. However, a prosthetic eye can improve the appearance of the affected eye socket and most people prefer to wear it instead of an eye patch or bandage.
